and the edit control is processing the keyboard events. After my tooltip displays, I know the control has focus because I can hit the delete key or arrow keys and type etc. I have also called GetFocus, SendMessage (WM_KILLFOCUS) and then SetFocus to restore I have tried calling GetFocus and SetFocus to get the blinking thing back to no avail. I have found that after navigating to a htm file (local on disk), calling IHTMLElement::put_innerTextĬauses the 0x118 windows message to cease being sent to an edit box if the box has focus. Our application uses the WebBrowser control to implement fancy tooltips. I am losing the blinking cursor in edit boxes (in or not in a combobox control).
